Sulfur Removal
Sulfur compounds are abundant in biomass and organic waste. The content and type of sulfur is function of feedstock nature as there is substantial difference between agro-derived and woody biomass as well as municipal solid waste compositions. Among the most common sulfur compounds are thiophenes, mercaptans, and carbon disulfide (CS2), carbonyl sulfide (COS) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S). Elimination of sulfur from the resulting gas is critical in order to protect catalysts and equipment used in downstream conversion processes.

AH-MD
Active Component: ZnO
Form: Extrudates
High performance ZnO type adsorbent for effective removal of H2S from gas streams. The media features very high sulfur uptake at optimal process conditions. High mechanical robustness enables stable operation with no dust or particulate matter formation.

AH-XD
Active Component: Mixed Metal Oxide
Form: Extrudates
Engineered Mixed Metal Oxide (MMO) type media for effective removal of sulfur compounds. It features surface chemistry that allows removal of most stable sulfur types under optimal process conditions.
