Metals Removal
Metals profile in gasified biomass or solid waste conversion streams are highly dependent on the feedstock nature. Alkali and alkaline earth metals, principally potassium, sodium are often found in biomass while heavy metals are more common for plastics and polymer waste solids. Adsorbents is not always the optimal method for metals removal as the total content and type of metal compounds affect the method selection criteria.

High surface area and high oxygen uptake mixed metal oxide adsorbent effective at 15-80 C and used in regenerative mode. It offers high stability and robustness under typical process conditions.

Active Components: Fe2O3 - Fe2S3

A novel composition using iron oxides that traps oxygen through a surface chemical reaction. Adsorbent is regenerated using sulfidation.
